Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs oversees the processing of all College of Medicine academic personnel actions and is responsible for many personnel related activities including academic recruitment, appointment, merit and promotion review, faculty development and mentoring, sabbatical leaves, salary administration, diversity programs, employee and labor relations, and Volunteer Clinical Faculty administration.
The Office of Faculty Affairs was created in 2006 to improve faculty retention, productivity and morale in The University of Arizona College of Medicine. It provides career development workshops for faculty members; assists departments in faculty recruitment; fosters diversity and equity through several initiatives; facilitates mentoring relationships; and fosters leadership development among faculty.
