The Office of Faculty Affairs, under the direction of Anne Wright, PhD, is responsible for a wide range of activities in support of faculty retention, advancement and success. These include designing and implementing programs to foster faculty development and advancement; increasing faculty diversity and institutional equity; enhancing mentoring opportunities; and fostering leadership. This office also administers the College of Medicine initial appointment and promotion-and-tenure processes; the College’s continuing status committee, faculty reviews, new faculty orientation, faculty development workshops, faculty recognition programs, the College of Medicine Affiliate and Associate program and high-level recruitments of department heads and center directors. In addition, the Office of Faculty Affairs serves in an advisory capacity to departments within the College on personnel actions for faculty and academic professionals.
