The ArizonaMed curriculum was initiated on the Tucson Campus in the Fall of 2006. Planning and implementation of ArizonaMed involved hundreds of our faculty and students. We began by defining the key characteristics needed by physicians in the 21st century and used them to develop and refine our educational objectives. We then searched for the best educational methodologies used by medical schools across the country and adapted them to fit our learning objectives and educational culture. We are continuously refining the ArizonaMed curriculum, based upon our experiences with it. We are confident that students will have an outstanding educational and personal experience at The University of Arizona College of Medicine, and that our educational program will allow our students to fulfill their professional aspirations.
