The Office of Faculty Affairs oversees the processing of all College of Medicine academic personnel actions and has oversight for all academic personnel-related activities, including recruitment; appointment; merit, promotion and equity review; faculty career development and mentoring; sabbatical leaves; diversity programs; employee and labor relations; and volunteer clinical faculty administration.

The Office of Faculty Affairs assists departments in faculty recruitment, fosters leadership development among faculty members, and leads initiatives to improve faculty life.
