Configure Outlook Anywhere for College of Medicine Exchange Email

1. Click the Windows logo to launch the Start menu, then click "Control Panel".
 
 
 
2. Open the "Mail" or "Mail (32-bit)" application (you may have to change the view to "Large Icons").
 
 
 
3. Select "Add" in the Mail window to create a new profile. 
 
 
4. Enter a profile name (this example uses "Medadmin," but other names will work as well).
 
 
5. Next, in the the "Add New Account" window, select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and press "Next".
 
 
6. Select "Microsoft Exchange or compatible service" and press "Next".
 
 
 
7. Enter the following server settings, then select "More Settings ..." (do not press "Next"):
 
 
Server: cas2.medadmin.arizona.edu
Use Cached Exchange Mode: Yes (should be on by default)
User Name: your medadmin user name
 
8. In the "Microsoft Exchange" window that appears after clicking "More Settings ...", click to the "Connection" tab. Check the "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" box at the bottom of the window. This will then allow you to click into the "Exchange Proxy Settings ..." menu (button).
 
 
9. Enter the following settings in the "Microsoft Exchange Proxy Settings" window:
 
 
Use this URL to connect to my proxy server: cas2.medadmin.arizona.edu
Connect using SSL only: Yes (should be on by default)
Only connect to proxy servers...: No
On fast networks...: Yes
On slow networks...: Yes
Use this authentication when connecting to my proxy server for Exchange: Basic Authentication
 
10. Click "OK," twice (when prompted).
 
11. Once you return to the "Add New Account" window, click the "Check Name" button.
 
 
12. Clicking "Check Name" will prompt for your College of Medicine/Medadmin credentials. Enter them in the following format:
 
 
Medadmin\username
Your medadmin password
("Remember my credentials" is optional.)
 
13. Press "OK" when finished entering your credentials.
 
14. If more than one potential match is available, you may be asked to select your name from a list.
 
 
15. Once the connection has been made successfully, your Server and User Name will appear underlined and modified.
 
 
16. Select "Next" and then "Finish".
 
 
17. Select "OK" to exit the "Mail" window or "Close" for the "Mail Setup" window.
