After years of finishing the admissions application process with traditional interviews at the College of Medicine – Tucson, the standard will be changed in the fall, by using the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) system. The College of Medicine – Phoenix implemented the MMI process last fall.

Norman Koelling, a 79-year-old retired staff member, from the UA College of Medicine, still inhabits the anatomy laboratory on a daily basis.
Koelling has been a part of the UA community since he came to Arizona from Nebraska for graduate school in spring of 1969.
Dr. Casey Solem is a 26-year-old emergency department resident at University Medical Center. He was one of 24 students to graduate in the inaugural class from the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix, in May 2011.
