It’s our privilege to announce that longtime University of Arizona employee Holly Altman has been named director of Alumni Affairs for the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. “It was an intensive search, and we are confident that we have found the best person for the job,” said Clint McCall, senior director of development for the college. “We are thrilled that she has be joined our team.”
Altman is an East Coast transplant from the suburbs of Boston. She came to the UA in the late 1980s to complete a master’s degree in fine arts and has lived in Tucson ever since. After a circuitous journey, she said she found her true calling in program development and leadership.
“One of my greatest joys is leading programs that create positive change to expansive success,” said Altman.
Before joining the Office of Alumni Affairs, she worked for eight years in the UA Office of Community Relations, directing the University’s campus-wide charitable outreach programs.
“Medicine is the art and science of healing. It is amazing to be in a position where I can help nurture lifelong connections and support among the College of Medicine students, residents, alumni and faculty – all of whom live and breathe the mission of healing,” she said.
On behalf of the College of Medicine Offices of Alumni Affairs and Development, we’d like to extend a great welcome to our newest staff member! With Altman’s help, we are excited to refresh our goals and purpose, which will allow for even greater connections with all College of Medicine alumni.
