Harry Calvino, MD, Class of 1981

I’m still practicing emergency medicine part-time as a Locums guy in Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado, mostly to support my flying habit!

Carolyn Okorie, MD, Class of 2010

I finished my pediatrics residency in Portland, Oregon and will complete my chief residency year in June! After this, I will be headed to Stanford for a pediatric pulmonary fellowship.

Steve Ferronato, MD, with his wife and eldest daughterSteve Ferronato, MD, Class of 1979

I retired six months ago from The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (Kaiser-Permanente) South Sacramento campus after 27.5 years of service as a medical oncologist, hematologist, and hospice medical director. I am looking to relocate with my wife to Whidbey Island, Washington, later this year. My oldest daughter is completing her third year as a general surgery resident at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. My youngest daughter is graduating from St. Olaf College in Minnesota next week, and starts a new job in Seattle later this summer.

James Benjamin, MD, biking with wife Laurie BenjaminJames Benjamin, MD, Class of 1979

Laurie and I are still living “la vida loca.” I am still practicing orthopaedic surgery in Tucson but at a bit slower pace. We had our first grandchild this year - cutest kid ever! I’m looking forward to seeing the usual suspects in November.
