Larry Myers, MD, Class of 1975
I retired as Medical Director of a CHC in Springfield, Oregon and Cheryl and I live in the coastal hills near Eugene. My main work places are the CHC I’ve worked in since 2004, a Catholic system rural hospital 30 miles south of us and a rural hospital five hours away near the California border where I do a rural health clinic and ER. We are beginning to develop our land with gardens, fruit trees, and some tillable land for seed farming. Come see us in Oregon!
Angelo Petropolis, MD, Class of 1985
Hi all! It’s hard to believe that 30 years have gone by since we graduated from medical school. I provide medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services in Sierra Vista, AZ. Wanda and I enjoy spending time at our cabin in Colorado, playing with our beautiful grandkids, and enjoying the southern Arizona climate. Here’s a picture of our dog Blaze in the back of our Cessna with his headset on ready for takeoff!
Linda Schulzkump, MD, Class of 1990
For the past 8 years, I have been working internationally and have recently cut back to half-time in order to travel with my husband. We had a fantastic summer on our boat off the Alaska-British Columbia coast.
Larissa Meyer Rodgers, MD, Class of 1994
I am currently doing urgent care medicine. My husband of twelve years, Ronn Rodgers, is an economist with SRP. We have two adopted daughters, Anna age thirteen and Aleah who is eleven. In 2014 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but after completing a brutal year of treatment, I am now a cancer survivor!
Jacob Walsh, MD, Class of 2009
I graduated from COM in 2009 and after completing a radiology residency at the UA in 2014, I moved to Denver for a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology. Currently, I’m back in Tucson working with my brother and other UA MedCat alumni at Arizona State Radiology. My wife Monica, a UA law alumnus, and I bought a house in the Sam Hughes neighborhood and are super happy to be close to family and the University atmosphere! Bear Down!
Bill Longwell, MD, Class of 1975
I’m still working full time and playing hard – running 30 miles a week, skiing in the winter, traveling, and riding our horses as much as we can. Our last kid finishes UC Berkely this year. We love to travel, eat great food, and collect delicious wine.
John Tannous, MD, Class of 1993
I am an American pediatrician working in China and now serve as the medical director of the Sanford International Pediatric Clinic in Kunming, China. I also am appointed as a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics by the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. I have zero regrets about attending medical school at the University of Arizona! I hope my son will do the same.
