Clint McCall has been named senior director of development for the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. He will oversee the college’s development, alumni relations and special events offices.
McCall joins the college after serving as senior director of development for the UA Sarver Heart Center since 2004. There, he increased the number of named endowments, including five above $1 million, and secured estate gifts in excess of $10 million, while engaging clinical and basic science research faculty in the development process.
“Clint has been with the UA for 18 years, including seven with the Sarver Heart Center at the College of Medicine, and he is an excellent addition to our administrative leadership team,” says Steve Goldschmid, MD, dean, UA College of Medicine – Tucson, and member of The University of Arizona Health Network Board of Directors. “He will strengthen our fundraising and alumni relations efforts that are critical to our continued success in improving health care for Arizonans and the Southwest through medical education and research.”
McCall graduated from the UA in 1994 and joined the UA College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) as a program coordinator and adjunct instructor in Yuma, where he facilitated an off-campus degree program at Arizona Western College. After serving as admissions officer in the UA Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Phoenix/Yuma, he became assistant director of development with CALS, then joined the UA Foundation, becoming director of the telephone outreach program before moving to the UA Sarver Heart Center.
