Educational Research or Evaluation Proposal

The College of Medicine currently conducts education-related evaluation and research activities under a site level IRB “exempt” approval. This approval is exempt under 45 CFR 46.101(b)(1)(i) as “research conducted in established or commonly accepted educational settings, involving normal educational practices, such as research on regular and special education instructional strategies.”

In order to better track the many educational research activities and ensure we are appropriately following research and evaluation guidelines we ask that you provide the following information about your proposed project. We may follow-up with additional questions or ask for clarification.
