Graduate Medical Education at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson South

Appointment Procedure

All first year selections for graduate medical education programs are made through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). The only exceptions are those permitted under NRMP rules.

All appointments are made through the Office of Graduate Medical Education – South Campus with the recommendation of the Program Director.

Appointment packets are sent on April 1 of each year by the Office of Graduate Medical Education – South Campus, following the NRMP MATCH results.

All residents and fellows are required by the State of Arizona to obtain a postgraduate training permit from the Arizona Medical Board or the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners. This license is obtained through our office and is valid only for training purposes.
