Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds: The Changing Landscape of Fentanyl Adulterants in the United States

Learning Objectives:
- Describe the rapidly changing fentanyl landscape in the United States, which is being impacted by new adulterants.
- Discuss the implications these adulterants are having on treating addiction, pain and harm reduction.
- Identify the most recent data available on some of these adulterants, including xylazine, medetomidine, BTMPS and more.
The educational objective of the Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds is to provide health professionals with updates on addiction topics, with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence and patient care. The Addiction Medicine Lecture series is held monthly on a Thursday from noon to 1 p.m.
