Email Delivery Issue October 29th
The University of Arizona has received an increased number of phishing emails over the past several days, which has caused significant disruption on campus. In an effort to respond quickly and block malicious emails, UITS applied increased email filtering that inadvertently blocked legitimate mail on October 29th between 3:07 and 4:47pm. Any email caught by this filter cannot be recovered. We do have a list of all senders (including non-UA senders) impacted by this problem and will be sending a targeted message to anyone impacted during this period of time so they will have an opportunity to resend the mail.
This situation may also have impacted automated mail from services (such as we saw with UA Service). We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. If you have any questions please reach out to ISO at firstname.lastname@example.org or to me directly.
