The award-winning Arizona Telemedicine Program, based at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, has confirmed the speakers for the third national Telemedicine and Telehealth Service Provider Showcase (SPS), Oct. 2-3, in Phoenix.

The SPS faculty members are nationally recognized thought leaders, health-care innovators and policy experts. Speakers will offer practical advice on how organizations should get ready for telehealth, including how to vet and select their ideal clinical tele-services partners, champion telehealth legislation, negotiate “win-wins” with payers and integrate offsite providers into their culture and workflows. They also will discuss telehealth outcomes data, understanding Medicare policies, telemedicine prescribing, and technological innovations and changes in the telehealth arena.

The conference provides a platform to broker partnerships between telemedicine service providers and service users. About the Southwest Telehealth Resource Center

The Southwest Telehealth Resource Center (SWTRC), a subsidiary of Arizona Telemedicine Program, was created to advance the effective use of telemedicine services throughout the Southwest. About the Four Corners Telehealth Consortium

The Four Corners Telehealth Consortium was formed among New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado to serve as a model for regional telehealth collaboration in the United States, unconstrained by geographical or jurisdictional barriers. Representatives of telehealth and health information initiatives in the four states have developed specific collaborative initiatives, including establishment of an interstate licensure process, coordination of a virtual “eHealth” university for distance learning, coordinating the provision of telehealth clinical services representing best practices, and a process for interstate disaster response.
