I am pleased to announce that we have begun the search to select the next dean of the UA College of Medicine – Tucson. 

Jennifer Barton, PhD, Director, Bio5 Institute and Irving Kron, MD, Senior Associate Vice President for Health Sciences and Interim Executive Dean of the UA College of Medicine – Tucson have enthusiastically agreed to co-chair the search committee, and the firm of Russell Reynolds Associates will assist us in this endeavor. 

I have charged the committee to recruit from a diverse pool of candidates to find a nationally recognized leader with a comprehensive perspective across all college missions; a leader who will effectively engage constituents, innovate education, propel research, cultivate philanthropic opportunities and partner with our clinical enterprise, as we continue to impact the health of our state.
