Clerkship Evaluation Policy

This policy outlines the process for medical students to evaluate clerkships, sites, and faculty, including the timing of evaluations, submission guidelines, and the responsibilities of clerkship directors and the Office of Curricular Affairs in reviewing and addressing feedback. It ensures that evaluations are conducted consistently through a centralized system and follow a standardized timeline across all clerkships.

Credentialing Policy

This policy outlines expectations for students in completing their credentialing paperwork as required by clinical sites affiliated with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.

This policy applies to all students in the medical education program leading to the MD degree, effective with the 4-year MD program's Class of 2027, and the PCAMP track's Class of 2027.

Policy on Student Use of AI

This policy outlines principles and guidelines for the appropriate use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including but not limited to generative AI systems, machine learning platforms, and image recognition software, by medical students. It emphasizes ethical considerations, responsible usage, proper citation of AI tools, and HIPAA compliance in clinical documentation. Any use of AI for clinical documentation must adhere to the policies and guidelines of the clinical site and comply with HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information.
