Sunit Sebastian

Sunit Sebastian, MD, is a Professor of Medical Imaging at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson and Banner University Medical Center-Tucson. He serves as faculty member with Emergency Radiology.

Dr. Sebastian joins us from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston  where he served as the chief of the Emergency Radiology section and the Chief of Radiology, ad interim of Ben Taub General Hospital. Dr. Sebastian completed his clinical fellowships in Abdominal Imaging at Emory University School of Medicine and Emergency radiology fellowship at the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center. He has also completed  Clinical Research Fellowships in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.  Dr. Sebastian received  his medical degree with honors from Sri. Bhausaheb Hire Government Medical College in Dhule, Maharashtra, India, and  Radiology residency from Pune University in India.

Aside from his expertise in Abdominal and Emergency Radiology, Dr. Sebastian is an entrepreneur and advisor to AI startups with a broad range of experience in patient care. He has authored several peer reviewed original research papers and textbook chapters. Dr. Sebastian is also the recipient of multiple teaching and research awards during his career. He is passionate about Emergency radiology, access to care and the ethical use of artificial intelligence.

Dr. Sebastian loves to travel and experience different cultures through food. He is passionate about finding and cooking the perfect bowl of Ramen and aspires to train under local masters in Osaka and Tokyo in this decade.
