Richard V. Chua, MD

Professor, Neurosurgery

Dr. Chua is an active teaching faculty member in the Neurosurgery Residency Program and provides general neurosurgical care at Banner University Medical Center – Tucson, where he is director of Spine Minimally Invasive Surgery and Robotics and medical director for the Comprehensive Spine Program.

Dr. Chua is an active faculty member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeon (AANS) Goodman Oral Boards Review Course. He has been an invited guest lecturer at many U.S. and international spine meetings, and provides surgeon education both domestic and internationally. He hosts visiting surgeons frequently in Tucson. He is a founding member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SMISS). He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeon (AANS) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
