Why University of Arizona? The chair of the surgery department where I went to medical school knows Dr. Riall and recommended I look into the program here since she was starting an innovative resident wellness/leadership program. Among the residency programs I applied to, this program also seemed to be the most diverse in terms of its composite of residents and attendings.
