Allison Lee Thoeny, MD

Program Director, Anesthesiology Residency
Associate Clinical Professor, Anesthesiology – Clinical Scholar Track

Allison Thoeny joined the faculty as a pediatric anesthesiologist in 2018. As an Arizona native and lifelong Wildcat, she is thrilled to have returned home to her alma mater at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. She is honored to have a role in shaping the education and careers of our residents as core program director and is proud of the individualized support the program can provide to each of our 40 residents in this close-knit anesthesia “family.”

She and her husband enjoy living in the Sonoran Desert, taking in the land of saguaros, plentiful wildlife and breath-taking sunsets. When not working you will find her soaking up time at the park, the swimming pool or an impromptu dance session with the loves of her life: her two toddler and infant sons. They enjoy taking weekend trips as a family to Phoenix or Santa Barbara to spend time with extended family.
