Cesar A Egurrola
Mr. Egurrola brings a wide variety of educational and professional experience to the Petersen HIV Clinic at Banner University Medical Center. He has been involved in the HIV field for over ten years, starting out as a Youth Peer Leader in 2001. While attending the University of Arizona, majoring in Psychology and Sociology, he obtained his first job in HIV Prevention at the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation in 2006, where he initially worked as a Health Educator for High Risk populations and culminated as a Sr. Health Education Specialist focusing on Youth Prevention in 2012. Mr. Egurrola's involvement with HIV focused primarily on prevention, including providing HIV testing, education and psycho-educational interventions, but also expanded to other areas such as HIV activism, care, and community awareness. He is a member of the National Latino AIDS Action Network and has served in various local committees such as National Latino AIDS Awareness Day, World AIDS Day, and AIDS Walk Tucson to name a few. Mr. Egurrola is very excited to move into HIV Care, a new stage on his HIV experience.
