Dale P. Woolridge, MD, PhD, FACEP

Dr. Woolridge joined the department in 2003. He has received numerous honors, including fellowships from the Department of Biochemistry and the American Heart Association, the Flinn Foundation's Achievement Reward for College Scientists and the Maria Mandel Research Award from the College of Medicine – Tucson.

Dr. Woolridge served as the chair of the American College of Emergency Physicians Section of Pediatrics and is on the faculty of ACEP's annual assembly. In Arizona, he serves on a number of professional committees, including as chair of the Arizona Department of Health and Human Services Arizona Emergency Medical Services advisory committee.

He is the author of the textbook “Emergency Medicine’s Top Pediatric Clinical Problems” and co-author of three additional texts. He has also published 17 journal articles and book chapters. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Emergency Medicine. He is a researcher on the Health Resources and Services Administration's State Partnership Regionalization of Care Program to expand its Pediatric Prepared Emergency Care program into more rural and tribal communities within the state and to integrate evidence-based guidelines into clinical decision-making for all participating facilities.
