Dr. Shah was chief of staff at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System and a professor of medicine and radiology at University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, until retiring as Professor Emeritus of Medicine after having practiced in the United States for over 50 years. He specialized in diabetes and lipid metabolism and had more than 75 publications and over 500 citations. He recently moved to the Phoenix area to be closer to his family.
