Jennifer M. Segar, MD

Dr. Segar was born in Los Angeles and raised in the suburbs of Simi Valley, Calif. She completed her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in sociology at the University of Southern California, before receiving her medical degree from Ross University in 2012. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson in 2016 and served as one of the scheduling chief residents for the 2016-17 academic year. She is currently a chief fellow in the UA Hematology and Medical Oncology Training Fellowship Program at the UA Division of Hematology and Oncology and UA Cancer Center. Her primary research interest is in breast cancer and quality improvement projects. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, attending barre classes, orange theory, surfing, and traveling.
