Joshua Melson, MD
Dr. Melson joined our faculty in August 2022. Previously, he served at Chicago’s Rush University Medical Center for over a dozen years, where he was director of the Coleman Clinic for GI Cancers and of the High-Risk Program for GI Cancers. His focus is on managing patients at elevated risk for gastrointestinal cancers and utilizing clinical expertise for cancer prevention. With grant funding from prominent foundations and the American Cancer Society, his research enhances colorectal cancer prevention through optimized colonoscopy. Dr. Melson also serves on the editorial review board of the journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and takes an active role in advancing gastrointestinal care. He also served for several years on the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Technology Committee and the American Gastroenterological Association’s Center for GI Innovation & Technology Committee.
