Kaitlyn Ahlers
Katie Ahlers is currently finishing her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Montana with an emphasis in children and families. Originally from Connecticut, Katie completed her undergraduate studies in biology and psychology with a neuroscience specialty at Boston College. She is excited to move to Tucson to complete the APA-accredited doctoral internship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine through the Department of Psychiatry. Katie's clinical and research interests include the provision of evidence-based practices for youth mental health, with a specific focus on the intersection of living with lifelong, chronic conditions (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, HIV/AIDS) and trauma. She is looking forward to completing her degree and continuing to provide services in an interdisciplinary medical setting to children and adolescents. In her free time, Katie enjoys being outside and loves hiking, trail running, swimming, yoga, and skiing.
