Why University of Arizona? I chose to pursue my surgical training at the University of Arizona because I fell in love with the program as a medical student here. This program has a welcoming culture, a tight-knit group of residents, and it values diversity, all of which are important to me. I was also drawn to this program because of Tucson's diverse patient population. UArizona gives me the opportunity to work with the underserved locally, as well as in rural and global health settings.
