Before beginning his residency, Dr. Singh worked as a research assistant with Dr. Scott Killgore, Dr. Charles Raison and Dr. Lee Ryan at the University of Arizona. During this period, he developed an interest in neuroimaging research and published several research papers. He has a strong interest in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. His personal interests are break/hip-hop dance, Punjabi folk dance, singing and CrossFit.
