Faculty Instructional Development Series

FID Series 1

Physicians and resident educators should be familiar with Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME), including competencies, Educational Program Objectives (EPOs), Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs), and Workplace-Based Assessments (WBAs). The College of Medicine – Tucson uses WBAs to assess medical students on EPAs, guiding skill development, improving patient care, and supporting professional growth during medical education and training. This FID series is intended to enhance resident-physician knowledge and foster a supportive environment for our medical school and students. Together, we can cultivate a stronger organization through common language and understanding.
