Tucson Lifestyle magazine features 2025 Top Doctors, including 90 from U of A – Banner

Depending upon how you splice it, 26-29% of the Banner – University Medicine physicians who made it onto the 2025 Castle Connelly ‘Top Doctors’ list for Tucson are from the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.

The latest list of Top Doctors is out from Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., with local physicians who made the 2025 group featured in the April issue of Tucson Lifestyle magazine.

Banner – University Medicine Tucson had 90 physicians who made the list this year. The list begins on page 67.

Banner Health included a three-page ad (beginning on page 93 with a two-page spread on pages 93-94) recognizing the 10th anniversary of the merger between the University of Arizona Health Network with Banner Health to become Banner’s academic division known as Banner – University Medicine.

The advertisement also underscored its investment in training physicians and medical infrastructure in Tucson.

While every physician deserves recognition for their hard work and dedication to improving health and health care, 24 University of Arizona Department of Medicine faculty or affiliated doctors were included this year — as well as one who retired at the end of 2024 and another who recently moved to work at the Carl T. Hayden Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Phoenix.
