The University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson presented the winners of the Faculty Awards at a ceremony on March 2.

Todd Vanderah, PhD, professor and department head of the Department of Pharmacology, was named an Alumni of the Year for 2023 by the University of Arizona Alumni Association.

A fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians, James Liao, MD, joins the University of Arizona Health Sciences from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Racy passed away on September 14, 2022. He was 90 years old.

Faculty members honored for inventions, including a cardiac muscle cell patch, a polymeric heart valve and a method for treating chronic pain.
