Transition to Residency Course Requirements
There are a total of 44 units required during the Transition to Residency period.
In summary, the requirements include:
- 4 weeks Core Subinternship (sub-I)
- 4 weeks Emergency Medicine - EMD 845
- 4 weeks Surgical Subspecialty
- 4 weeks Application of the Basic Sciences - MED 840
- 28 units Elective - of which 16 must be Clinical
Optional:
- Away Rotations (limit on Away Electives is 20 units - This does not include Phoenix)
- Local electives
- Phoenix rotations
- Research
