The mission of the UACOM-T GMEC is to provide oversight of the educational quality of our training programs and of the clinical learning environment. GMEC will conduct their work in an honest, ethical, and collaborative decision-making environment to ensure compliance with all ACGME institutional and program requirements. GMEC will develop and implement appropriate policies and advocate for adequate resources to ensure the development of competent, compassionate physicians who will independently deliver high-quality, equitable care to our diverse patient population.

This manual sets forth the duties, responsibilities, rights, and privileges for Trainees. It is divided into three sections: the first section provides policies that are unique to Trainees; the second section addresses conduct and performance concerns, including the due process guidelines for non-disciplinary and disciplinary action; and the third section includes links to the Banner Health policies that are applicable to all Trainees.

"At the conclusion of the residency, or at any time a resident terminates his/her participation in the residency program prior to graduation, the program director will prepare a summative letter, which outlines to what extent the resident has mastered each component of clinical competence." This policy explains how that letter is prepared, what it contains, and who has access to it.
