Research

Our division offers state-of-the-art research opportunities for trainees and faculty members. Many faculty members are engaged in translational and other research and have labs at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Asthma & Airway Disease Research Center, offering numerous opportunities for participating in cutting-edge research to develop innovative therapeutic and technological solutions to remedy many of the conditions we see in our patients.

Education

With the wide and varied nature of care taught within our division, we have multiple overlapping educational responsibilities. We cover medical training for everything from care for asthma, cystic fibrosis and sleep apnea to pulmonary needs of emergency departments, surgery and intensive care units. We take a multidisciplinary approach to the training we provide for medical students, residents and fellows in all aspects of medical care in those four core areas.
