About the Presenter
Dr. Minter is an infectious diseases clinician-educator at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He provides clinical care on the Transplant Infectious Diseases and General Infectious Diseases consult services, as well as on the internal medicine wards. He is deeply committed to medical education and holds teaching roles within the UCSF School of Medicine and Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. His primary academic interest is in improving the teaching and assessment of clinical reasoning, with a particular focus on the needs of advanced subspecialty training in infectious diseases. In addition to his clinical and educational work, Dr. Minter serves as section co-editor for Clinical Dilemmas in Infectious Diseases, a series in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases that highlights the complex diagnostic and management decisions encountered in everyday infectious diseases practice. Through this work, he seeks to celebrate and advance the thoughtful clinical reasoning that is central to the practice of infectious diseases.
