The mission of the Academy of Medical Education Scholars (AMES) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson is to create and sustain a diverse community of scholars dedicated to excellence and innovation in medical education. AMES also offers peer teaching evaluations.

The Medical Education Scholars (formerly AMES/OMSE Teaching Scholars) program provides support to faculty in developing skillful, humanistic, reflective and scholarly educational practice. The program is designed to advance the vision of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson as a leader in innovative medical education.

The AMA’s ChangeMedEd Initiative works across the continuum with visionary partners to create bold innovations.
