Committees
College of Medicine faculty committees create programs, allocate resources, review faculty appointments and promotions, admit students, advise the administration, and formulate and implement policies.
Serving on a committee provides an excellent opportunity to engage in important work on behalf of the College and allows for interaction with peers, information sharing, and development of leadership abilities.
A call for nominations to open faculty committee positions is circulated to the faculty of the College of Medicine each spring. You may nominate yourself or a colleague. (Please confirm in advance that your nominee is willing and able to commit to full participation on the committee if elected.)
The faculty elects committee members after the General Faculty Meeting held each May. Committee appointments commence on July 1st.
