Adelina Sullivan, MD

Where are you from? I was born in Lansing, Michigan, but have lived most of my life in Tucson and have spent a lot of time in Berlin, Germany, as well.

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I love the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, traveling, photography, creating art, playing piano and spending time with my family, friends and dog.

What are your professional interests? My professional interests include ultrasound, sports med, toxicology, medical education, medical Spanish and clinical research.

Why did you choose U of A Emergency Medicine? The people and program are amazing. The residents, attendings, staff members and program leadership are all so wonderful to work with. I was also drawn to the community focus intertwined with academic training, medical Spanish curriculum and opportunity for fellowship mentoring.

What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? The outdoor scene, great food and family.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? To never stop exploring and visit more national parks.
