Where are you from? Mesa, Arizona

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I love running, hiking, hanging out with my cat and listening to historical podcasts/books.

What are your professional interests? I am very interested in social emergency medicine. My background is in public health and I hope to take the social determinants of health into account when providing patient care. 

Why did you choose our program? I chose U of A South Campus EM for several reasons. I love that South Campus has a good mix of community and academic medicine. I also really enjoy working with the patient population at South Campus. 

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? The desert is my home and I feel like Tucson really embraces the desert landscape. There is also great food here and awesome people.

What are your non-medical goals during residency? I hope to continue long distance running and run my first marathon.
