Anirudh Yenisetti, MBBS

Resident, Pediatrics - PGY-1

Where are you from? Hyderabad, India.

Why did you choose the College of Medicine – Tucson Pediatrics Residency Program? The well-established hospital system, multiple options for fellowships, large patient catchment area, and most importantly, my great experience during my interview, were all factors when I made my final decision to choose this program.

What are your current professional interests and career goals? Definitely want to pursue fellowship. Conflicted between allergy/immunology and PICU.

What are your personal interests and hobbies? I like to cook, travel and explore new places, and enjoy being physically active, whether it is working out in the gym or playing the occasional pickleball game. I am also a huge Pokémon fan and love to compete on Pokémon Champions when I have time to spare.

What is your favorite thing about Tucson? I feel Tucson is just the right size for a city — not too big, not too small. The food scene is just amazing, a lot of great places to scratch your gastronomic itch.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? To get back into shape, explore the great trails surrounding Tucson, learn a winter sport and improve my cooking skills.
