Why did you choose U of A family medicine?

Full-scope family medicine training in both rural and urban settings with great exposure to inpatient medicine, obstetrics and procedures.

What are you most excited about for life in Tucson? 

Living in one of the most biodiverse regions of North America. Southeast Arizona is the only place you can see up to 15 species of hummingbirds in a single season. 

What are your interests or hobbies outside of medicine? 

Gardening, crocheting, reading memoirs, learning about wildlife and geology. Aspirational hobbies: Woodworking, painting and quilting.

What are your professional interests within medicine? 

Migrant health, LGBTQ+ health, interdisciplinary collaboration in medicine 

What is your favorite way to spend a day off? 

Morning birdwatching with my spouse, hanging out with my cats, then lounging in a hammock while reading a book or listening to a podcast.

What is the top item on your bucket list?

I would like to visit all the national parks, travel to Central Asia and build a backyard wildlife pond.
