Baylee Reed, MS

Ms. Reed's research interests include hormone interactions and cardiometabolic health, with an emphasis on risk factors, patient advocacy, education and prevention. During her master’s studies, she led a clinical trial investigating the cardiometabolic and proteomic effects of inspiratory muscle strength training in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus, which further strengthened her passion for clinical research.

In addition, she has contributed to several neurological clinical trials examining pharmaceutical interventions, primarily in acute ischemic stroke. Her long-term career aspiration is to design and conduct human subjects research that explores complex cardiometabolic interactions across a range of disease states, with a particular focus on advancing patient education and prevention strategies to improve long-term health outcomes.
