Caleb Hardt, MD

Resident/Fellow

Where are you from? Casper, Wyoming

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I enjoy watching/playing basketball and tennis. I like some classic outdoor activities including camping, hiking and fly-fishing. Around the house, I spend my time binging Netflix, doing the NYT crossword and playing chess.

What are your professional interests? I am still exploring the idea of fellowships, but I could see myself pursuing an ultrasound or EMS fellowship. I would also like teaching to be a part of my career, whether it be medical students or residents.

Why did you choose UA EM? The people! All the resident and faculty I met seemed like genuinely great people to be around, both inside and outside the hospital. I was also drawn by the opportunity to have a set percentage of my shifts be both at an academic hospital and a community hospital.

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? Not sure yet. I haven’t had the chance to explore Tucson or the surrounding area, but I am excited to have sunshine year round and plan to spend a lot of time outside.

What are your non-medical goals during residency? I would like to improve my Spanish skills, explore the Tucson food scene and make lots of new friends.
