Hometown: Dexter, MI USA
Medical School: Stony Brook University
Hobbies: I love running, hiking, and camping with my husband, Paul, and my dog, Cholla. I also enjoy baking, traveling, and reading detective novels.
Clinical/Research Interests: My main research interests include racial and socioeconomic disparities in vascular surgery outcomes (especially dialysis access) and cognitive changes with cerebrovascular disease. Major clinical interests include carotid artery disease, pediatric vascular surgery, and new technology/devices in endovascular surgery

Why University of Arizona? I was really excited to come to a program where the faculty were warm and welcoming, and I felt like I found that here. I wanted to work with attendings who cared about my growth and development as a surgeon and encouraged me to pursue my research interests.
My husband is also a resident (emergency medicine) and, most of all, we were looking for a program that offered high-quality training for both of us, and we found that at University of Arizona.
