Originally from Asunción, Paraguay, Dr. Vega Torres has lived in several regions of the United States and has called Tucson home for the past five years. As a bilingual psychologist-in-training, her experiences across diverse communities have shaped her appreciation of different perspectives and ways of life. She values building meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues, and she has trained across school, university and health care settings. 

Dr. Vega Torres also participated in the University of Arizona Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (ArizonaLEND) program, where she received interdisciplinary leadership training focused on supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, attending basketball games, arts and crafts, making playlists, and spending time with her partner and pets.
