Where are you from? Timpson, Texas

What are your personal interests and hobbies? Food, disc golf, church, staying in shape for the Air Force

What are your professional interests? Rural emergency medicine, wilderness medicine

Why did you choose U of A emergency medicine? When I found out I could train at the University of Arizona through its affiliation with the Air Force, I couldn't have been more ecstatic. The location, residents, staff and program were all the right fit for me and my goals as a military physician. 

What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? Tucson has a beautiful landscape, and it also has little to no snow in the winter. Being from Texas, I knew I wanted to avoid the snowy winters, and Arizona was the way to stay warm throughout the year.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? I plan to visit all of the top restaurants in Tucson, maintain some semblance of an exercise routine and stay in contact with family/friends on a frequent basis.
