Where are you from? Albuquerque New Mexico

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I am a plant mom to over 30 plants. I also enjoy reading, video games (particularly puzzles, Zelda, horror games, bio shock), anime (favs are demon slayer, solo leveling, attack on titan, JJK), weight lifting and watching streamers play horror games My other interests include baking and being obsessed with my cat, Chico, and my dog, Link. 

What are your professional interests? I am interested in medical education. Being first-gen, it’s hard to know what to do and when to do it, and I honestly still have no idea what I’m doing, so I like the idea of being able to help those in the same position as me! I also am really interested in pediatric emergency medicine.

Why did you choose U of A Emergency Medicine? I thoroughly enjoyed my subinternship during my fourth year. I’ve also been living in Tucson the last few years, and I love it. I love the culture and the diversity and knowing that I can continue making an impact on my community here. 

What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? Getting scented leaf and going plant shopping or hiking when it’s not 100+ degrees outside.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? Continue self-care, weightlifting, traveling and focusing on my personal relationships with family and friends.
