My Journey with the BSM Program

Coming into the University of Arizona I wanted to be in the BSM program. I had heard about it from my mom who was working in the Banner OB-GYN department . I loved how it hit all the prerequisites for the University of Arizona medical school. I fell in love with the teachers and advisers and wanted to help more people learn about this wonderful major and all the amazing opportunities that come with it.

Academic & Career Goals

Over the summer before my junior year I am planning to take the NREMT and become a volunteer EMT. In my junior year I am planning to take the MCAT and use those scores to apply to the University of Arizona medical school. After medical school I have two goals for myself. I want to either become a pediatrician as I love working with kids and want to make doctor’s appointments less intimidating for children. After taking the university’s EMD 147 course I found a new love for the world of emergency medicine and can also see myself working in emergency medicine.
