Gilad Hampel, MD
Resident, Urology
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, as the oldest of four children, all of whose names start with a "G." I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, earning dual BS degrees in biochemistry and biology. I completed a Master of Science in immunology and microbiology at Tulane, where I also earned MD and MBA degrees. I then went to Philadelphia to complete a one-year general surgery preliminary at Temple University.
When not at the hospital, I can be found hiking and working out, or in my kitchen brewing a batch of cider or beer, or smoking brisket in my backyard. When I complete my residency, I will be a third-generation urologist, following in the footsteps of my father and grandfather.
